On 18 August 1817, Phillip deeded 333 acres on Hoyle's Creek to Eve Dellinger. Phillip took his wife "Caty" and moved to Wayne County, Missouri, perhaps following his brothers-in-law Peter, Henry and Andrew Stroup to Missouri. After Phillip died in 1820 Catherine returned to Hoyle's Creek with her children.
